ALEXANDRIA - After winning its last two games, Willmar fell 15-5 to Alexandria Friday in a Central Lakes Conference contest.
Alexandria exploded for 22 hits at home while holding Willmar to six hits.
Willmar started the game hitting well, as it roughed up Alexandria’s starting pitcher Brady Burgau with a bases-clearing double from Garrit Kooistra in the first inning.
Henry Waage came on in relief and shut down Willmar, only allowing a run over 4.2 innings.
Alexandria, which won the first meeting 18-2 on May 5 in Willmar, put up six in the sixth as well to secure the victory.

Willmar is at Fergus Falls on Monday for a doubleheader that starts at 4 p.m.
