New London-Spicer received the No. 3 seed in the Class AA girls basketball tournament starting Wednesday at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
The Wildcats (24-5) will play unseeded Esko (25-5) at 8 p.m., the last of four quarterfinals. In the opposite lower bracket, No. 2 Kenyon-Wanamingo (29-1) meets Redwood Valley (19-9) at 6 p.m.
In the upper bracket, top-seeded and defending champion New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (28-0) plays Pequot Lakes (23-6) at 2 p.m. and No. 4 Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (27-2) faces No. 5 Minnehaha Academy (20-6) at 4 p.m.
The semifinals are 6 and 8 p.m. Friday at Williams Arena and the championship is at 2 p.m. Saturday, also at Williams Arena.
NLS is selling tickets for its first-round game from 8 a.m. Monday through Wednesday at noon in the NLS Activities Office. Prices are $14 for adults and $9 for students.

A sign-up for a fan bus is also available. A $15 ticket will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. Monday through Tuesday at 3 p.m. The bus will leave the high school at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
