JORDAN — The Willmar boys basketball team dropped a rare Monday night game.

Jordan beat the Cardinals, 65-49.

Jordan scored the last five points of the first half to take a 28-22 lead after Blake Schoolmeester hit a 3-pointer to cut the Hubmen’s lead to 23-22.

Willmar closed the deficit to 32-27 with 13:59 to go on an Alex Schramm 3-pointer, but that’s as close as the Cardinals would get. Jordan got up 43-33 at 12:07 on an Owen Montreuil basket and never relinquished its double-digit lead.

Schoolmeester led Willmar with 15 points and also had seven rebounds. Samuel Raitz and Alex Schramm each had 10 points and Cade Roelofs contributed five points and 13 rebounds. Cayden Hansen had six points, five assists and four steals for the Cards.
