Prep football: 4 from area in Minnesota all-star game

Four area football players will participate in the 42nd annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game on June 27 at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud.

Four area football players will participate in the 42nd annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game on June 27 at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud.
Dawson-Boyd wide receiver Michael Lee, New London-Spicer wide receiver Shane Zylstra and Montevideo offensive lineman Spencer Hildahl will play for the North All-Stars, and BOLD defensive end Nick Kubesh will play for the South All-Stars.
The game showcases outstanding senior players from the 2014 high school football season.
Players were selected by members of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association. Players and coaches representing 79 schools and 27 conferences will participate in this year’s game.
The 2015 All-Star Game will be the 42nd in the current annual series and the 53rd overall. For the fifth consecutive year, the game will feature the North All-Stars vs. the South All-Stars. In the 2014 game, the South All-Stars defeated the North All-Stars 37-22 at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville.
For the fourth consecutive year, the All-Star training camp will be held at St. John’s. The training camp dates are June 21-27.
