Prep football: Bulldogs bounce Sauk Centre

PAYNESVILLE - Paynesville will play for a Class AA state tournament berth after dispatching Sauk Centre 46-8 on Saturday.

The No. 1-seed Bulldogs will face No. 2-seed Minneota/Lincoln HI on Friday at Minnesota-Morris.

Matthew Quade and Troy Spates each ran for two touchdowns, with Spates running for a game-high 154 yards.

Quade passed for 121 yards and ran for 50 more.

Andrew Topp had 4 catches for 70 yards, including a touchdown reception from backup quarterback Mitchell Weidner.
