NEW LONDON - A balanced offensive attack and big plays helped New London-Spicer overcome a spate of penalties and defeat Foley 34-22 on Friday at Peterson Field.
Jackson Ness returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown, Josh Evans and Derrick Laudenbach connected on a 97-yard scoring pass, and Evans threw three more scoring passes.
The Wildcats rushed for 210 yards and Evans threw for 200, but NLS also was penalized 15 times for 135 yards.
The Wildcats are 3-4 overall and end the regular season at Milaca at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Foley led 14-12 at halftime, but the Wildcats scored 22 third-quarter points to take command.
Evans threw 20 yards to Cody King for a score, then hit James Magnuson on a 13-yard strike.
The Evans-King connection worked one more time on a 22-yard TD play that put NLS up 34-14.
Josh Soine picked up 130 rushing yards on just nine carries and King caught 5 passes for 75 yards and the two touchdowns.
