BENSON - BOLD finished off its regular season with a 36-0 shutout of Benson, the Warriors’ fifth win in a row, in a West Central Conference game on Wednesday at Brock Field.
Trevor Nissen caught for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Ben Steffel, Brad Wolff and Connor Riley each scored rushing touchdowns.
Steffel paced the Warriors with 104 rushing yards, and quarterback Lane Stadther passed for 110 yards on 7 completions.
BOLD already led 13-0 when the Braves lost quarterback Aaron Ahrndt to injury on their third possession after he was tackled on a fumbled snap from the center.
It didn’t get much better for Benson, as BOLD scored three more touchdowns, all before the fourth quarter.

The Sting got their eventual game-winning score early in the fourth quarter, breaking a 7-7 tie, and held the Tigers the rest of the way.
Austin Vikander put YME on the board with a 16-yard touchdown run, and the Tigers tied it in the third on a 6-yard run by Isaac Wente.
The Sting finished their regular season 1-7. Their last win came on Oct. 26, 2010, against Lac qui Parle Valley in the first round of the Section 5AA playoffs.

Countryman carried 15 times for 100 yards. Hayden Johnson hit 17 of 25 passes for 302 yards and connected with Thompson on a 43-yard TD.

Saints quarterback Tom Steidler ran 51 yards for the game’s first score, then rambled 75 yards for another second-quarter TD. Teammate Keegan McCabe ran 65 yards for another touchdown that gave the Saints a 20-8 halftime lead.
In the fourth quarter, Steidler caught a 15-yard TD pass from receiver Cody Erickson.
The Wildcats, which fell to 6-2 overall, hurt themselves with four interceptions and three lost fumbles.
NLS’ Adam Essler carried 32 times for 175 yards and scored both Wildcats touchdowns.
