Prep Football Roundup: Johnson has hand in 4 TDs to ignite RCW

DANUBE -- Hayden Johnson threw a 52-yard scoring strike to Colin Thompson and had runs of 59 yards, 30 yards and one yard go for touchdowns to ignite Renville County West's 41-0 rout of Park Christian in a Nine-West District game on Friday.

DANUBE - Hayden Johnson threw a 52-yard scoring strike to Colin Thompson and had runs of 59 yards, 30 yards and one yard go for touchdowns to ignite Renville County West’s 41-0 rout of Park Christian in a Nine-West District game on Friday.

Johnson finished the game rushing for 111 yards on just nine carries and completing 5 of 10 passes for 109 yards and no interceptions.

RCW handed Park Christian its second shutout loss on the season after forcing six turnovers and holding the  Falcons to one yard on the ground.

The Jaguars (1-2) are at winless Hancock (0-3) next Friday.

Delano piled up 335 yards on the ground and all five of its touchdowns came on the ground as the Tigers overwhelmed the visiting Litchfield Dragons on Friday.

Joe Koenecke scored three times and gained 158 yards on 15 carries to pace Delano, which led 35-0 before giving up a late score.

Logan Nelson rushed for 79 yards and picked up the Dragons’ lone score on a five-yard run. Litchfield had 170 yards of offense while allowing 393 yards.

The New London-Spicer football team is struggling to find ways to stay in games, and Albany gave them very little time to do it on Friday.

The Huskies ran the ball 66 times and rolled up 323 yards and five rushing touchdowns in the victory over the Wildcats.

New London-Spicer ran 43 plays and managed just 167 total yards.

Quarterback Josh Evans connected on 7 of 10 throws for 119 yards and hit Derrick Laudenbach on an 11-yard scoring pass in the first quarter.

Preston Herfurth scored Montevideo’s first three touchdowns - two rushing and one on a 12-yard pass from Troy Diggins - as the T-Hawks blasted Sauk Centre at home on Friday.

Reece Kuhlmann and Travis Dreyer also scored for Montevideo.

Diggins passed for 150 yards and two TDs, and Kuhlmann led the T-Hawks with 65 ruhsing yards.

Herfurth finished with 49 yards rushing and 52 receiving, and Dreyer caught three passes for 74 yards including a 26-yard TD.
