Lakeview Isaac Lowe engineered a 79-yard touchdown drive in the final minutes of a Southwest District game during Lac qui Parle Valley’s Homecoming on Saturday.
LQPV scored touchdowns in the second and third quarters to lead 16-14, but the Eagles turned the ball over on downs at the Lakeview 21 yard line with 2:36 left in the game.
Lowe hit 5 of 7 passes and scrambled twice for 28 yards to put the ball on the Eagles three yard line. Lakeview’s Seth Plotz scored from there with one minute to play.
LQPV’s Chase Mortenson threw a 15-yard TD pass to Connor Oie in the second quarter, and Mortenson ran 15 yards for the Eagles’ third-quarter score.
Lucas Strand, who added the two-point conversion run after Mortenson’s run, carried 13 times for 79 yards.
Peyton Mortenson, who also ran for a two-point conversion, made 11 total tackes, as did Strand.
The Eagles play at Ortonville’s Homecoming at 7 p.m. Friday.

Holy Family’s Eric Requet ran for a touchdown, then returned an interception for a score on Friday to break open a game that was tied at 21 in the fourth quarter.
Holy Family’s David Ogren also scored two touchdowns.
Litchfield’s Josh Madsen scored on a pair of three-yard runs, and Brandon Nelson returned a punt 86 yards for a score.
