Prep football: Warriors roll past Morris/CA

MORRIS - No. 4-ranked BOLD won its fifth game in a row, rolling past Morris/Chokio-Alberta 32-13 on Friday.
BOLD quarterback Lane Stadther connected with Trent Athmann for 43- and 34-yard TD passes to help the Warriors (5-1, 5-1) build an 18-0 halftime lead.
After Ben Steffel ran in a 6-yard score, MCA’s Trent Wulf broke out for an 80-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put the Tigers on the board 25-6.
Later in the third, Stadther, who finished with 162 yards passing, hit Nick Kubesh for a 73-yard touchdown pass.
Steffel led the Warriors with 146 rushing yards, and Athmann collected 41 yards on the ground and 77 receiving.
Wulf, who also scored a fourth-quarter touchdown, ran for 178 yards and Isaac Wente picked up 91.
MCA (3-3, 3-3) next plays Friday at Minnewaska, and BOLD hosts ACGC on Friday.
