NEW LONDON - Ethan Bohlsen scored his second touchdown of the game in the third quarter to put New London-Spicer up by a score and the Wildcatsβ defense shut down Dassel-Cokato the final 20 minutes of the game to wrap up the Wright County Conference West title on Wednesday.
The Wildcats finished the regular season 5-0 in the WC West and 7-1 overall.
Bohlsen threw 41 yards to Trey Austvold for a first-quarter touchdown, and Bohlsen later scored from two yards out to give the Wildcats a 14-7 halftime lead.
D-C pulled within one early in the third quarter but Bohlsen ran for the insurance TD about five minutes later.
Bohlsen threw for 249 yards, with Shane Zylstra catching five passes for 104 yards.
Zach Swigerd was in on 15 tackles, including nine solo stops, and Kellon Knutson made seven solos and assisted on five tackles.
