NEW LONDON - Shane Zylstra scored two second-quarter touchdowns and New London-Spicer upended Glencoe-Silver Lake 20-7 on Friday.
Zylstra got NLS on the board when he picked off a pass from GSL quarterback Keaton Anderson, running it back for a 52-yard touchdown.
He scored again on a 22-yard reception from Ethan Bohlsen, giving the Wildcats a 12-7 halftime lead.
After a scoreless third quarter, Bohlsen ran in a two-yard score in the fourth.
Zylstra led NLS in receiving (4-34) and rushing (8-49) yards.
Hunter Sjoberg ran for 48 yards, and Bohlsen was 8-for-12 passing for 102 yards.
The Wildcats (1-0, 3-1) next play Friday at Litchfield.
