WILLMAR -- The Willmar girls tennis team lost only at 1-doubles in a 6-1 victory over St. Cloud Apollo Thursday.

Cardinals' singles players Xiaodan Yu, Gabie Bierbaum, Bailey Hovland and Maddy Oehrlein all won in straight sets.

The 2-doubles team of Carlee Bach and Leah Ramon won with a second-set tiebreaker, and the 3-doubles team of Waverly Slette and Abbey Weiler also won in two sets.

The conference's individual tournament is Saturday at 9 a.m. in Montevideo.

New London-Spicer's first and second singles players won their matches, but Litchfield won the other five matches.

Litchfield's Chantel Nivaud and Kalley Spreiter picked up straight-set wins at third and fourth singles, and the Dragons swept the three doubles matches, also in straight sets.
