Prep Golf Roundup: New London-Spicer puts finishing touches on its conference title

The Wildcats have four golfers earn all-conference honors after Wednesday's round at Albion Ridges.

ANNANDALE — New London-Spicer wrapped up the 2021 Wright County Conference boys golf championship Wednesday at Albion Ridges Golf Course.

In the process, the Wildcats had four golfers earn all-conference honors and one more gain honorable-mention.

NLS shot a 293 Wednesday, led by go-medalists Peyton Coahran and Noah Dietz, who each shot 71s.

Coahran, Dietz, Nixon Harrier and Diego Rojas all earned all-conference honors and Blake Kath was named honorable-mention for NLS.

Litchfield finished third Wednesday with a 332 and also wound up third in the overall conference standings.

The Dragons’ Sam Tipka was named to the all-conference team. Tyler Jansky and Braxton Kerstein earned honorable-mentions.

Luverne Invitational

Luverne swept the boys and girls titles at the Luverne Invitational that was played at Tyler Golf Club.

The boys scored a 304, led by Henry Hartquist’s 69. Montevideo was second with 411.

The Luverne girls had a 390. Montevideo took second with a 412. Morgan Gonnerman won the girls’ title with a 94.
