SARTELL — Willmar’s Kessa Mara ended the Central Lakes Conference season strong.
Playing the final conference meet of the season Monday at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course, Mara took medalist honors by two strokes, finishing with a six-over par 78. Alexandria’s Hannah Boraas and Bemidji’s Nicki Son tied for second with 80s.
Mara, a junior, had two birdies: on the 283-yard par 4 on No. 13; and the 97-yard par 3 on No. 4.
Willmar finished fifth with a score of 380. Alexandria won the meet with 335, followed by Brainerd (344) and Sartell (374).
Bailey Olson (19th, 94); Kennedy Mara (23rd, 98); and Avery Olson (36th, 110) rounded out Willmar’s team score.

Willmar’s final regular-season meet is the Madden’s Classic Meet at Madden’s Resort in Brainerd. Then Willmar competes in the Section 8AAA tournament June 3-4 at Headwaters Country Club in Park Rapids.
