MELROSE - Melrose’s Lydia Butkowski won two events and the all-around to help the Dutchmen defeat Willmar on Tuesday 144.225-137.125.
Haley Mottinger won the vault for the Cardinals, and Stephanie Thompson tied Butkowski on the beam.
There won’t be much time between meets as Willmar takes on St. Cloud Tech on Thursday. Melrose will have a week off before they play New London-Spicer next Tueday.

New London-Spicer’s Mya Rohman put on a dominating performance as she placed in all four events for the Wildcats. NLS placed first in every event, with Rohman winning the bars, Arica Clancy the vault, Courtney Henjum the beam and Espi Austvold the floor. Rohman won the all-around with 33 points, and the Thunder’s Raenne Warwick received placed second with 30.
Both teams play in the Morris Tournament on Saturday.
