SAUK RAPIDS - David Gomez scored four goals and the Willmar Cardinals won their final regular-season match 6-1 over Sauk Rapids on Friday.
Gomez scored 15 minutes into the match, tying it up 1-1, 2 minutes after Sauk Rapids had scored on a penalty kick.
The Cardinals took the lead on Diego Millan’s goal 3 minutes later.
Gomez and Ben Gonzalez added goals later in the first half, and Gomez tacked on two more in the second half.
The Cardinals, holding the fourth-highest QRF ranking in the 17-team Section 6A, will seed Sunday night.
Willmar will begin section play on Tuesday.

WILLMAR - The Willmar Cardinals dropped their final regular-season match, falling to Sauk Rapids 3-0 on Friday.
Madyson Mohs, Marianna Blair and Brooke Lorentz scored for the Storm to send the Cardinals to their 12th loss of the season.
Section 6A will seed for the playoffs on Sunday, with play opening on Tuesday.
