PAYNESVILLE - Emma Stevens doubled in three runs and Bailey Woehler also had a run-scoring single in the Bulldogs’ four-run seventh inning in a 5-4 win in Game Two of a Central Minnesota Conference doubleheader on Thursday.
Eden Valley-Watkins put the tying run on third and the winning run on second in the bottom of the inning, but the Bulldogs got out of the jam to complete the doubleheader sweep.
A seven-run first inning set the tone for the Bulldogs’ 12-6 victory in the first game.
Bailey Woehler had two hits and drove in two runs and Emma Stevens and Sara Schaefer both had hits and two RBIs.
Brianna Hemmesch got the pitching wins in both games.
The Bulldogs wrap up a busy week - they play six games this week - against Minnewaska at 4:30 p.m. today in Paynesville.

The Dragons won their first game of the season, scoring two runs in the top of the ninth inning to snap the losing streak.
Ashley Warren was for 4-for-5 and drove in the tying and winning runs with a single in the ninth.
Glencoe-Silver Lake put runners on in the bottom of the inning but Litchfield got a groundout to end the game.
Madison Larson allowed two unearned runs on four hits to get the complete-game victory.
The Dragons play a doubleheader at Mound Westonka on Monday.

The Thunder Hawks’ Grace Sulflow was 2-for-4 and Breanna Welling got the win.
Morris/Chokio-Alberta’s Piper Gibson hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and Lindsey Dierks was 3-for-4.
The Tigers play at ACGC on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
