MURDOCK -- Four two-run innings were more than enough for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg as the Fighting Saints upended Dawson-Boyd 8-2 in a Camden Conference softball game under sunny skies Monday.
The unbeaten Fighting Saints (6-0, 8-0) scored in the first, third, fifth and sixth and outhit the Blackjacks 8-4.
KMS starter Erin Haglund didn't give up an earned run in the pitcher's circle and issued just one walk while striking out 10.
Ellen Johnson and Courtney Olson both singled and doubled for KMS with Olson knocking in two runs. Brooke Carlson and Lori McCain also had an RBI.
Kendra Lindblad, who was tagged with the loss, drove in both runs for the Blackjacks (2-4, 2-4).

Haglund lost her bid for the shutout in the sixth inning when Lindblad singled to right-center field to drive in the two Dawson-Boyd runs.
The Blackjacks committed four errors that led to four unearned runs for the Fighting Saints. Lindblad struck out seven, walked four and surrendered four hits in five innings.
