MURDOCK - The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg softball team won its Camden Conference openers, taking two from Minneota-Canby on Monday.
The Saints, now 3-0 overall, scored 10 runs in the final three innings to win Game One 15-6, and Sam Gjerde struck out nine in five innings in a 7-1 victory on Game Two.
Shelly Syverson had two hits and drove in three runs in the first game, and Alison Krieger and Taylor Rasmussen also had two hits. Krieger, Gjerde, Sadie Sulier and MiKaylie Hagen all drove in runs.
Krieger worked all seven innings to pick up her second win of the season.
In Game Two, Sulier had two hits and drove in two runs and Kalli Forsell also drove in a pair of runners. Gjerde and Hagen both collected two hits.

Gjerde allowed four hits and walked one.
The Saints are off until traveling to Ortonville on Monday for one game at 4:30 p.m.
