MURDOCK -- Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg scored 18 runs in two games to advance out of the first two rounds in the Section 3A-North tournament Tuesday.
The Fighting Saints (15-5) beat Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 9-0 in the first game and topped Renville County West 9-5 in final game. The Jaguars beat MACCRAY 8-5 in the other first-round game.
Sam Dunn picked up two wins for KMS, starting the first game and pitching 6Xc innings in its second game. She also went 7-for-8 at the plate, including two doubles. Erin Haglund had four hits and drove in five runs.
Meanwhile, Yellow Medicine East stunned Dawson-Boyd 4-3 in 10 innings in the other semifinal.
The Sting blanked Chokio-Alberta 4-0 in the quarterfinals behind Alex Trudel's five-hitter.

Ashly Sneller drove in the winning run in the 10th against Dawson-Boyd.
The Final Four is double-elimination on Saturday . KMS will now face Edgerton, while YME meets Wabasso, both games at 1 p.m. in Cottonwood.

Dunn was 3-for-4 with an RBI and scattered six hits over seven innings for the shutout win. She struck out seven and walked one.
Courtney Olson smacked two doubles. Ellen Johnson, Brooke Carlson and Haglund had two hits each.
Shelby Johnsrud went 3-for-4, including a double, to lead CGB.

Errors hurt MACCRAY in the fifth inning, committing three which translated into four runs. The Jaguars took a 7-4 lead.
Trista Kleinhuizen and Whitney Fransen each went 3-for-4 for RCW. Lexi Freiborg, Whitney Fran-sen and Madison Schaub had two hits each.
Christal Stavne went 2-for-3 with an RBI for MACCRAY, which held a 3-0 lead after two innings. Jolee Henkel and Paige Ammermann also had two hits.

Sneller knocked in the winning run for YME with a single in the 10th inning. She also singled in a run in the sixth to help the Sting prevail in a pitcher's duel.
Allie Trudel limited Dawson-Boyd to four hits in 10 innings of work while Kendra Lindblad struck out 16 and allowed only three singles in 9Zc innings. Lindblad started, but came out in the fifth inning after getting banged up covering the plate on a passed ball that Jennessa Hoffman scored on for YME. Mariah Kuhlmann got two outs before Lindblad came back in during the sixth.
Kelsey Jurgenson hit a two-run homer in the third for Dawson-Boyd and McKenzie Franzky had an RBI single in the sixth.
