RAYMOND -- Paige Ammermann drove in two runs and Christal Stavne went 3-for-3 as MACCRAY defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector 5-1 in a non-conference softball game on Tuesday.
Moranda Zimmer pitched all seven innings for the win, allowing four hits and one unearned run. She walked two and struck out five.
Ammermann had RBI singles in the second and fourth innings for MACCRAY (10-4), which has won five straight games. Stavne also singled in a run in the second inning.
Tori Swanson had two hits for Buffalo Lake-Hector.

Liz Smith singled with one out in the fifth inning and Julia Busiahn, who was headed to third base on the play, scored on an errant Tracy-Milroy-Balaton throw that invoked the 10-run rule and gave Redwood Valley (9-3) the win.
Ashley Bunting went 4-for-4 and scored three runs and Megan Bunting, Jessica Fischer and Steph Jensen had two hits apiece as the Cardinals outhit TMB, 13-8. Smith knocked in three runs while Fischer and Jensen both had two RBI.
Sam Felt worked three innings for the win, allowing five hits and one run. Leah Penske pitched the final two innings, giving up three hits and one run.
