GLENWOOD -- Laura Paulson pitched four hitless innings and combined with Kaylee Jacobs on a two-hit shutout as Minnewaska Area trumped Lac qui Parle Valley 10-0 in West Central South Conference softball on Monday.
Abby Kreitlow had two hits and drove in three runs for the Lakers (9-1, 12-2), who are tied with Paynesville and Ben-son/Hancock for first place in the conference.
Kreitlow had an RBI single in the second inning and a two-run double in the third. Breanna Jenks drove in two runs and Jordan Stalker, Brooke Falk and Lindsay Braaten drove in one run each.
Paulson walked one and struck out four before giving way to Jacobs, who gave up two hits and a walk, but escaped the fifth inning unscathed.
Colleen Wagner and Brittany Long had the hits for Lac qui Parle Valley.
