MORRIS -- St. Cloud Apollo edged Morris/Cho-kio-Alberta 2-1 in the championship of the eight-team Morris/CA Invite on Saturday.

Morris/CA opened with a 2-1 win over Moorhead, then routed West Central Area 11-1 to reach the final.

St. Cloud Apollo beat Breckenridge 15-5 and MACCRAY 7-4 un its first two games.

Dani Schultz went 7-for-10 for Morris/CA (10-1). Kelsey DeCamp was 5-for-8, including a pair of doubles and a home run.

MACCRAY (4-3) defeated Ortonville 7-3 in its quarterfinal game and then upended West Central Area 14-4 in the third-place game. Paige Ammermann went 6-for-10, including two doubles, and drove in three runs for the Wolverines. Abbey Thissen went 5-for-12, including two doubles, and drove in two runs. Hailey Goeman was also 5-for-12 with three RBI. Christal Stavne went 4-got-10, including two doubles, and had four RBI.
