NEW LONDON -- Allison Ruter scored the game's only run on a single by Erika Norris with no outs in the bottom of the 10th inning as New London-Spicer edged Albany 1-0 in a West Central North game on Friday.
The run ended a pitching dual between the Wildcats' Jessica Rosendahl and Albany's Katie Weyer.
Rosendahl allowed only two singles, while walking two and fanning eight.
NLS (9-1, 9-3) got two of its five hits and one of its two walks off Weyer in the 10th.
Ruter reached base for the third time when she walked leading off the bottom of the 10th. Jenna Moritz followed with a double.

With no outs, Albany (7-3, 7-3) went to five infielders and two outfielders. Norris lofted a fly that glanced off the outfielder's glove as she tried to make a long, running catch, allowing Ruter to score.

Brittany Long reached on an error and advanced on a single by Jenna Weber. Both runners moved up on a passed ball and Long scored on Deyo's hit to left field.
Jordan Halvorson worked the last four innings for the Eagle to pick up the win.
Karley Weir drove in three runs. Long and Deyo had two hits each. Brooke Rheingans knocked in two runs.
Livi Jeseritz went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs for YME. Whitney Swenson was 2-for-2 and Cassie Cole drove in two runs.
