EDEN VALLEY -- Paynesville rallied for two runs in the top of the 12th inning to beat Minnewaska 3-1 Thursday in a Section 6AA loser's bracket thriller.
Jessica Klein and Jessica Lieser each had run-scoring singles in the 12th for the Bulldogs (17-5).
The Lakers had two runners in scoring position with two outs in the bottom of the 12th, but a ground out ended the threat.
Whitney Woehler pitch-ed all 12 innings for Paynesville for the win. She gave up six hits, while walking one and striking out three.
Minnewaska's Laura Paulson gave up 10 hits, struck out six, and was saddled with the loss.

Thursday's defeat ends the season for the Lakers (20-3).
Paynesville (17-5) will continue Section 6AA competition on Tuesday.
