COTTONWOOD - The Dawson-Boyd softball team took the first game of a Camden Conference doubleheader on Friday but Lakeview scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh in game two to gain a split.
Justine Flattum homered and Kylie Schulke had three hits in the Blackjacks’ 8-4 win in Game One.
Schulke, Flattum and Alyssa Strand had D-B’s hits in the second game.
D-B plays a doubleheader at Canby/Minneota at 4:30 p.m. Monday in Minneota.

A double from Peyton Weis and singles from Kiah Morse and Whitney Haney keyed a three-run second inning for BOLD, as the Warriors topped Benson/Hancock.
Morse also tripled, and Emily Gass was 3-for-4.

The Bulldogs pushed across 10 runs in the first on the way to going to 3-0 in the West Central Conference fast-pitch race.

Brooke Hemmesch breezed to the win on the slab with a four-hitter. Sam Dahl went 3-for-3 at the plate.
Hannah Wilner doubled in the Falcons’ run in the top of the first.
The Bulldogs will host BOLD at 5 p.m. on Monday, then play a twin bill vs. YME on Tuesday in Paynesville.

This game was knotted 1-1 through four. In the top of the fifth, the Lakers used four hits and three Montevideo errors to pile up 7 runs.
Of course, that was plenty for senior pitcher Mady Phillips who would finished with a six-inning four-hitter with no walks and 6 strikeouts.
The Waska offense showed Rachel Bakko with 3 hits, Morgan Majerus a pair of two-baggers and Bayley Pooler with 3 RBI.
Kiersti Grey took the loss. Ashley Hoehne had two of the Hawks’ four hits.

Lauren Reimers and Kayla Pring both homered and the Tigers won their ninth game of the season on Friday in Morris.
Reimers was 4-for-5 and Pring was 1-for-1 with two RBIs. Brooke Gillespie pitched all six innings to earn the win.
The Tigers are 5-0 in the West Central Conference and 9-2 overall. They travel to play Marshall at 5 p.m. Monday.

The Cardinals fell way behind early in a Central Lakes Conference game at Sartell on Thursday before ramping up the offense and taking home the win.
Sarah Stadem was 3-for-4 and drove in three runs and Megan Rudnick had three hits and scored three runs.
Kaitlin Kienholz had a double among her three hits and she drove in three runs and scored once. Jordan Martins had two hits and two RBIs.
Leah Ruter won in relief, working 5.1 innings.
The Cardinals play host to Sauk Rapids/Rice on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
