OLIVIA - Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City scored five runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead and held on in the bottom of the frame to defeat BOLD 9-8 in a West Central Conference game Friday.
The Falcons’ Kaitlyn Moore blasted a three-run home run in the top half of the seventh inning as she had a major impact on the final, going 4-for-5 with a double and five runs batted in.
She was one of just four players with multiple hits in the game, which featured 14 walks, 17 strike outs and eight wild pitches.
ACGC’s Maree Lee was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Payton Wilner was 2-for-5 and scored a run. Rylie Wilner doubled and scored twice.
BOLD’s Emily Gass was 3-for-3 and scored two runs and Elsa Skeie had a hit and two RBIs. Pinch hitter Emily Sheehan, drove in two runs with her lone hit in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Hannah Wilner went the distance and got the win.
BOLD is at Montevideo on Monday and ACGC is at Paynesville on Tuesday for a doubleheader.

Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart rebounded from being four-hit in the opening game to down Sleepy Eye in Game Two and earn a split of a Tomahawk Conference doubleheader on Friday.
Sleepy Eye’s McKayla Ahlrich allowed just the four hits and a walk while striking out eight.
BLHS’ Megan Dascher was 2-for-3.
The Mustangs countered with a 3-2 in Game Two and play a conference doubleheader at Springfield at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalli Forsell had three hits, including a home run, and a double, and she drove in four runs in KMS’ non-conference win over the Benson/Hancock Brave Owls on Friday in Benson.
Mikaylie Hagen was 3-for-4, Sadie Sulier was 3-for-5 and Alexis Lamecker doubled and drove in two runs.
Sam Gjerde, who was 2-for-5 and drove in a run, got the win, working a complete game and allowing the three runs, no walks and striking out three.
Benson/Hancock’s Krista Motzko was 2-for-4 and hit a solo home run. Lizzie Staton also hit a solo home run and Mady Krienke drove in a run.

Yellow Medicine East’s Becca Rigge hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to propel the Sting to a 9-6 non-conference win over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Friday in Tracy.
Rigge, who also doubled, had the four runs batted in, and Jordan Glad had two RBIs. Megan Odegard was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored three times.
