MURDOCK - The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints polished off a perfect regular season in less than 3 weeks taking a pair from Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 9-4 and 6-0 on Friday.
The Saints take a 17-0 mark to the postseason, hosting a sub-district pod on Tuesday (teams to be determined).
KMS banged out 14 hits in Game 1 and Erin Haglund tossed a one-hitter in the second game.
The only hitter to reach base - on a single in the first inning - was thrown out attempting to steal second. She faced the minimum number of batters in a five-inning game (15) retiring 14 in a row, nine by strikeout.
