MORRIS - Morris/Chokio-Alberta won the West Central North Conference championship with a 12-8 victory over ACGC on Friday.
The Tigers’ Lauren Reimers hit her 10th home run of the season and she also tripled and finished with four runs batted in.
Becca Holland was 2-for-4 with a triple and a double, and Chelsey Ehleringer was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Kayla Pring got the win and Brooke Gillespie pitched three innings in relief.
ACGC’s Hannah Wilner was 2-for-4 with a double and Jacey Nelson also doubled.

Morris/CA finished 11-2 in the conference, a game ahead of Minnewaska. The Tigers are 15-5 overall and they open Section 3AA play at home against Canby/Minneota at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Benson/Hancock plays Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at the same site at 4:30 p.m.
The two losers are eliminated and the winners play at 6 p.m. in Morris.

Minnewaska scored in the bottom of three innings to tie the game and Rachel Bakko lined the game-winning shot to left field in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Lakers downed the Bulldogs.
However, Minnewaska fell short of catching Morris/Chokio-Alberta for the West Central North title by one game.
The Lakers scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings, they scored another run to tie after Paynesville took the lead in the top of the eighth.
The Lakers’ Carley Stewart doubled in two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into the 10th inning.
In the bottom of the inning, Shanae Suchy doubled, moved up on Allyssa Engfer’s sacrifice bunt and scored on Bakko’s liner between third and shortstop.
The Lakers open the Section 6AA playoffs against Wadena at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Glenwood.

No. 10-seed YME pulled off the upset in Section 3A-North, upending No. 7 Ortonville in the play-in game.
The Sting, who won just their second game of the season, will play No. 2-seed Dawson-Boyd in the first round.

Ortonville took a 7-3 lead in the third inning, but YME battled back with two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth, the go-ahead run coming on a Allison Carmany RBI single.
Marissa Sneller doubled, tripled, and scored three runs, and Hailey Enstad was 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Starting pitcher Mariah Norell pitched a complete game and fanned three.

Brittany Krogman’s RBI double and Brooke Engstrom’s RBI groundout highlighted a four-run frame for Renville County West in the sixth inning.
The Jaguars were outhit by Minneota/Canby/Lincoln HI, but Cassidy Fransen weathered the storm, keeping the visitors scoreless in five frames after scattering eight hits and six strikeouts in a complete-game victory.

The Jaguars (9-7, 10-9) completed the sweep in the bottom of the seventh when Carli Krogman singled and later scored on a wild pitch. Brittany Harazin, who had three hits in four plate appearances, singled Krogman over to third to put the freshman in great scoring position.
Harazin earlier had two hits in the first as RCW produced five runs after 11 batters visited the plate. The Lancers helped out by committing an error, hitting a batter and issuing three walks.
Fransen earned another win after spinning seven complete innings, issuing just one walk while striking out two and surrendering four earned runs.
