Rocori 9, Minnewaska 8
Rocori rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to bounce Minnewaska from the Section 6AA tournament on Wednesday.
The first two Spartans’ batters reached on errors, and after a base hit tied the game, the third Laker error of the inning allowed Rocori’s winning run to score.
Minnewaska’s Morgan Hess, Mason Schlief, Bayley Pooler and Ashley Bakko each had two hits, and Schlief and Bakko each drove in two runs.
Hess took the loss, pitching a complete game and striking out three. She allowed nine runs, but just two were earned.
The Lakers finish their season 17-8.

Milaca’s starting pitcher Hannah Johnson limited Paynesville to one run on two hits in the Section 6AA West quarterfinal game on Wednesday in St. Cloud at Waite Park.
Kayla Schaefer recorded both hits for the Bulldogs, each one being a triple.

Nicole Johannes was 3-for-4 and scored three runs while Jocelyn Metz was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in as Rocori bolted by Paynesville in the Loser’s Bracket Final on Wednesday.
After recording two hits in the previous game, the Bulldogs bats mustered only four hits in this contest.
Emma Stevens was 1-for-3, Allie Stanger was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI, and Ashley Eisenbraun was 1-for-3 with a double for Paynesville.
