MADISON -- Allie Trudel spun a two-hitter with six strikeouts as Yellow Medicine East edged Lac qui Parle Valley 3-1 in West Central South Conference softball on Thursday.
Lauren Trudel, Aimee Johnson and Courtney Hinz had two hits apiece for the Sting (7-8, 9-9), who beat Lac qui Parle Valley 10-9 in the first meeting on April 13.
YME scored two runs in the first before the teams traded runs in the fifth.
Karley Weir and Brittany Long each had a hit for the Eagles (2-13, 2-15).

Courtney Euerle was the only baserunner Litchfield had as the senior reached on an error in the third inning and singled in the sixth.
Kim Hutchins was 4-for-4 at the plate for Mound-Westonka to drive in four runs, and in the pitching circle, she struck out 11 en route to throwing a one-hit shutout. Evan Bailey and Carly Hanus both went 3-for-5 for the White Hawks.
