WILLMAR -- Jenny Marx outlasted Sam Bierbaum in a three-set match at 3-singles to give Fergus Falls the winning point as the Otters edged Willmar 4-3 in a Central Lakes Conference dual Thursday.
A tiebreaker was needed in the first set of the Marx-Bierbaum dual with Marx prevailing 7-2. Bierbaum then won the second set 6-3, but Marx closed out the dual by winning the third set 6-3.
Carrie Boike won 7-5, 6-3 at 1-singles for Willmar, while the Cardinals' 1-doubles tandem of Megan Rudie and Betsy Vomacka won 7-6 (7-3), 7-5) and the 3-doubles duo of Kassy Linbo and Heather Horning won 6-0, 6-3.
The Cardinals wrap up the regular season today with another CLC dual at Sartell.
