The BOLD Warriors face Martin County West at 6 p.m. Saturday for the Section 2A volleyball championship.
BOLD is the defending champion after beating United South Central a year ago at Lund Arena on the Gustavus Adolphus campus in St. Peter where tonight's match will again be played. The Warriors are 16-12 after winning 9 of 10, losing to Class AA unbeaten Sauk Centre in the West Central Conference championship match.
The Mavericks (22-9-1) are coached by former Willmar Cardinal Mary Sussenguth, in her second year at the high school in Sherburn. MCW tied Lake Crystal-Wellcome-Memorial for the Valley Conference title and has won six matches in a row losing only one game in that stretch.
