PRINSBURG - Central Minnesota Christian School rose to the No. 2 spot in this week’s Class A state poll, and with good reason.
The Bluejays defeated No. 3-ranked Tracy-Milroy-Balaton in four games on Tuesday, marking the second time in a week CMCS has defeated TMB and the fifth time the Bluejays have knocked off a ranked team.
CMCS is ranked just behind Bethlehem Academy in the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association poll. TMB, Minneota - which CMCS defeated in three games last week - and New Life Academy are tied at No. 3.
On Tuesday, The Bluejays won the first game but scored just 15 points in Game Two. Sufficiently motivated, CMCS rolled in the last two games.
Lexi Scott had 16 kills and Kalley Schwitters had 10. Natalie Brouwer finished with 6 kills and she and Scott both had four ace blocks.
Nicole Brouwer made just two setting errors and ended the night with 43 assists.
The Bluejays, now 19-4, take on Lac qui Parle Valley at 7:30 p.m. Thursday before playing in the Subway Classic on Saturday in Marshall.

ACGC hung on valiantly in the third set but couldn’t keep Minnewaska from sweeping a West Central Conference match on Tuesday in Grove City.
Minnewaska’s Ariel Ostrander was solid all-around, with 16 kills, three ace blocks, two ace serves and 10 digs. Taylor Amundson finished with 21 set assists and she also had a pair of ace serves and kills.
