MARSHALL - The top-seeded Central Minnesota Christian Bluejays took care of business Friday by sweeping Camden Conference rival Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 25-17 25-15 25-23 in the quarterfinals of the Section 3A-North playoffs at Southwest Minnesota State University.
Lexi Scott’s match-high totals of 15 digs, 14 kills and five ace blocks helped propel CMCS (26-6) into the semifinals where it will face No. 5 Lakeview on Tuesday at 6 p.m. back at SMSU. Following the match No. 2 Minneota and No. 3 Dawson-Boyd will face off in the other semifinal.
Also helping out the Bluejays in a big way Friday was Kalley Schwitters and Erin Orred as both supplied 10 kills and four kills. Schwitters added 13 digs and two ace serves. Nicole Brouwer guided the offense with 33 assists.
Hannah Nelson added three ace serves and Natalie Brouwer nine digs, four kills and three ace blocks.

The top-seeded Jaguars dropped the first set to No. 4-seed Eden Valley-Watkins, but came back to win three straight and advance to the semifinals where they will face No. 3-seed Verndale on Tuesday in Long Prairie.
Hailey Braegelman collected three ace serves, seven kills, two ace blocks and 17 set assists for the Jaguars.
Kinlee Swanson had 16 kills and one ace block, and Kendall Kampsen added three ace serves, two ace blocks and eight digs.
