Prep Volleyball Roundup: NLS overwhelms Paynesville

PAYNESVILLE - Sydney Stone collected 13 kills and 12 digs to help propel a 25-13 25-13 25-11 sweep of Paynesville Tuesday in the regular-season finale for both.

The Wildcats (22-5), winners of their last eight, also got six kills from both Kabrie Weber and Megan Thorson. Espi Austvold directed the offense with 22 assists.

Ella Johnson and Ashley Froelich paced Paynesville (12-12) with four kills each.

NLS opens the 3AA-North playoffs Thursday at home against Benson and Paynesville is at Albany on Friday in its 6AA-South opener.
