BROOTEN - New London-Spicer conquered its second high-profile team in two nights, edging Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in three games in a non-conference match on Tuesday at BBE Elementary School.
NLS won 25-23, 25-19 and 26-24. The Wildcats improved to 7-1 overall while the Jaguars, ranked No. 2 in Class A, fell to 5-4 overall after beginning the season 4-0.
Sydney Stone again led the Wildcats with 17 kills and 11 digs, and Kabrie Weber continued her solid play with 13 kills and served 4 aces.

Central Minnesota Christian School’s Lexi Scott surpassed 1,000 career kills and the Bluejays rebounded from a Monday loss at New London-Spicer to down Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in four games on Tuesday in a Camden Conference match at KMS High School.
The Bluejays dropped the first game but won three straight to take the match 23-25, 25-22, 25-6 and 25-20.
Scott, who needed 17 kills to reach 1,000, finished the night with 19 kills and she also was a terror at the net with 9 ace blocks. She also had 15 digs.
Erin Orred had 13 kills and 4 blocks, and Nicole Brouwer and Natalie Brouwer both had 4 blocks. Nicole Brouwer also had 40 set assists, giving her 90 in the Bluejays’ last two matches.
Kalli Forsell had 11 kills to led the Saints, Sydney Walsh had 7, and Eden Norton and Kallee Anderson both had 6 kills. Samantha Gjerde had 29 set assists and 11 digs, and Norton led KMS with 14 digs. Walsh also had 4 blocks
