SARTELL - The Willmar volleyball team kept pace in the race for second place in the Central Lakes Conference with an impressive road win in three sets on Tuesday.
The Cardinals won 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17.
Willmar (7-4 in the CLC) jumped ahead of the 6-5 Sabres, and trail second-place Alexandria, which entered the night 7-2. Rocori leads the conference at 9-0.
Cami Sletta led the Cardinals with nine kills, and Grace Marti had six.
Esther Grussing had 26 set assists, four kills and four ace blocks.

Catelyn Haug had five kills and 10 digs, Heidi Sellman served two aces, had three kills and blocked four shots.
The Cardinals play next at the Pumpkin Classic in Moorhead on Friday and Saturday.
