WILLMAR - With starting middle blocker Dani Rosen suffering from tendonitis, the Willmar volleyball team fed Leah Ruter a steady diet of sets and she delivered with a strong game, banging home 10 kills to lead the Cardinals to a three-game win over Fergus Falls in a Central Lakes Conference match Tuesday at Willmar High School.
The Cardinals won 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.
Rosen played but her action was limited to blocked duties to rest her leg. She did had two blocks.
Ruter converted on 25 of 30 attacks and she also was good on nine of 11 serves and had two aces.
Riley Grussing missed just one set attempt and finished with 21 assists. Allie Roehl was good on all 16 of her serves and she had two aces. She also had 11 digs.
The Cardinals play at St. Cloud Tech at 7 p.m. Thursday.
