CLARA CITY- Ashley Dirksen and Ellie Thein both had 9 kills and Mallory VanKlompenburg had 7 kills as MACCRAY swept Lac qui Parte Valley in the opening round in the Section 3A North playoffs on Monday.
The Wolverines, now 10-13 overall, play No. 3 seed Dawson- Boyd at 715 p.m. Friday in Granite Falls.
MACCRAY jumped on the Eagles early, winning 25-12 in the first set. LQPV put up more of a fight in the second set, but the Wolverines were able to overcome that momentum for a 25-19 win.
The Wolverines closed out the match, 25-16 in the third set.
The Eagles finished the season 5-18.
