Pins from Joseph Weaver at 113 and Spencer Winter at 120 after forfeiting at 106 gave Minnewaska a quick 12-6 lead. Benson then won the next seven matches, two by forfeit and five by pins from Aaron Zosel at 132, Grant Ascheman at 145, Bryce Goff at 152, Mitch Koosman at 160 and Matt Wieber at 170.
Ryan Stottler then earned a technical fall at 182 for Minnewaska before the dual ended with three more forfeits.
