Prep Wrestling: Lakers muscle way to three wins

GLENWOOD -- Host Minnewaska, which entered the Class A state rankings on Friday at 12th place, went a perfect 3-0 in its quad meet, with wins over MAHACA, Border West and West Central Area.

GLENWOOD - Host Minnewaska, which entered the Class A state rankings on Friday at 12th place, went a perfect 3-0 in its quad meet, with wins over MAHACA, Border West and West Central Area.

Results for Minnewaska's match against Border West were not available at press time.

The Lakers got a pair of wins from Jacob Blair (106 pounds), Easton McCrory (113), Caden Koziol (120), Mason Blair (145), Tyson Meyer (182), Tyler VanLuik (195), Dylan Jergenson (220) and Jakob Swalla (285). Mason Blair, Meyer, VanLuik, Jergenson and Swalla are all ranked for Minnewaska.

In a top-five match at 195 pounds, VanLuik edged out WCA's Wyatt Olson with a 3-2 decision.
