Prep wrestling: Minneota clubs Fighting Saints in semis

REDWOOD FALLS -- The powerful Minneota wrestling team rumbled over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, then defeated Adrian to win the Section 3A championship on Saturday.

REDWOOD FALLS - The powerful Minneota wrestling team rumbled over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, then defeated Adrian to win the Section 3A championship on Saturday.
The Vikings lost just three matches and defeated KMS 45-13 in the section semifinals. The section’s top seed then dispatched Adrian 32-24 in the final.
KMS’ Zach Carlson won by fall in 24 seconds at 195 pounds, and Jordan Engler picked up technical fall points at 152. Jonathan Tostenson won by decision at 120.
The section individual meet is next weekend, Friday and Saturday, in Windom.
