PAYNESVILLE - Eight pins and 11 forfeits helped Paynesville beat Minnewaska 54-23 and Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 60-9 at a home triangular on Thursday.

Nick Gabrielson at 138 pounds and Connor Meagher at 152 both notched two pins for Paynesville, which got 18 points from three Minnewaska forfeits and another 48 points from eight HLWW forfeits.

There were just three competitive matches in the Paynesville-HLWW dual.

Benson won seven of the eight matches, including the first five, to roll to the double-digit win on Thursday in Morris.

Michael Nagler at 106, Jarid Wersinger at 126, Lane Geyer at 132, Grant Ascheman at 145 and Mitch Kossmann at 182 notched pins for the Braves. Hunter Mondor at 113 added a major decision.

New London-Spicer and Litchfield both went 1-1 on Thursday in Annandale.

Litchfield rocked Rockford 74-3 and fell to the Lightning 40-28. NLS beat Rockford 45-27 and fell to the hosts 63-13.

Litchfield had Afton Kaping at 103 pounds, Derek Fruetel at 132, Sam Tibbits at 138, Logan Nelson at 152/160, Connor Hoff at 170 and heavyweight Tristan Revering go 2-0. Kaping and Revering both collected two pins.

Tom Stageberg at 138 won both of his matches by pin for NLS.
