RAYMOND — The Raymond Rockets displayed some of their dominant pitching Friday night.

Caleb Ditmarson and John Sawatzky combined to toss a three-hitter in Raymond’s 6-0 victory over the Sacred Heart Saints at Lilleberg Field.

Ditmarson started and went five innings. He struck out nine and walked one, allowing a one-out line drive to left by the Saints’ Nate Hebrink.

Sawatzky then came in. He went the final four innings, allowing two hits and no runs.

Raymond scored two unearned runs in the third, getting an RBI single to center from No. 2 hitter Mike Jeseritz. Jeseritz also had an RBI single to right in the Rockets’ three-run seventh inning.

Raymond is now 8-1 and leading the Corn Belt League. Bird Island is in second place at 8-2 after a 7-1 victory at Marshall on Friday night. Sacred Heart fell to 4-5.

The Rockets return to action at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when they host the Granite Falls Kilowatts. Sacred Heart hits the road to play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall.

Bird Island 7, Marshall 1

Aidan Elfering struck out nine in a complete-game shutout as the Bird Island Bullfrogs beat the Marshall A’s at Legion Field in Marshall.

Elfering was also 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Jordan Sagedahl also had two hits, going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs. Shawn Dollerschell drove in a pair of runs, finishing 1-for-4.

NLS Twins 11, Regal 7

Mike Danielson hit two home runs for the New London-Spicer Twins in a County Line League victory over the Regal Eagles at Green Lake Diamonds in Spicer.

Danielson belted two-run homers in both the second and fifth innings. He finished the game 3-for-4 with six RBIs and three runs scored.

Jake Rambow was 4-for-6 with three doubles, three runs and an RBI for the Twins. Dalton Rambow was 4-for-5 with an RBI in the victory.

Nathan Meyer led Regal’s offense with a 3-for-4 outing. Jordan Beier, Josh Beier and Grant Paffrath each had two hits for the Eagles as the two teams combined for 30 hits.

Peyton Van Beck tossed a six-hitter to lead the Elrosa Saints to the Stearns County League victory over the New Munich Silverstreaks at Elrosa.

Van Beck struck out eight and walked no one, though he did hit three batters.

Jackson Peter was 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run and Blaine Fischer went 2-for-3 for Elrosa.

Caden Sand, Will Funk, Joe Stangler, Ty Reller, Neal Anderson and Jacob Hinnenkamp all had hits for the Silverstreaks.
