MORRIS — The Morris/Chokio-Alberta boys basketball team put on an impressive display in a 72-49 victory over Paynesville on Monday night.
Riley Asmus, a ninth-grader, had 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks for the Tigers, who improve to 5-4 with the non-conference victory.
Drew Huebner added 14 points and four assists and Drew Storck added 10 points for Morris/CA.
Paynesville, which is tied for first with Eden Valley-Watkins in the Central Minnesota Conference with a 2-0 record, is 7-3 overall.
The Bulldogs play host to Kimball at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a CMC game. The Cubs are 1-1 in the CMC and 5-5 overall.
