Boys tennis roundup: Willmar swept by Brainerd

BRAINERD — Brainerd improved to 7-0 in the Central Lakes Conference and 11-7 overall with the victory over Willmar on Thursday.

Willmar fell to 0-8 in the CLC and 2-11 overall.

The Cardinals head to Becker on Friday for a triangular that also features Moorhead.

Yellow Medicine East evened its season record to 5-5 with the victory over MACCRAY at Granite Falls.

YME swept the singles and earned points at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles.

Ean Clarke led the Sting at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Josiah Seehusen.

YME plays Friday at Osakis. Osakis has the 10th ranked singles play in Class A in junior Isaac Maddock.

“My guy Ean is looking forward to playing him,” YME head coach Jack Lalim said.
