Cross-country: LQPV/D-B boys win at home meet; Minnewaska girls also take first

Lakers take top individual spots in both races

APPLETON — The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd boys won its home meet while the Minnewaska girls also picked up a win at the LQPV/D-B Invitational Thursday at Appleton Golf Course.

The LQPV/D-B boys won with 42 points, beating Minnewaska’s 68. The individual title went to Minnewaska’s Maeson Tank with a time of 14 minutes, 6.74 seconds.

The Minnewaska girls were victorious with 30 points, with LQPV/D-B in second with 41. The Lakers’ Lauren Ankeny (16:46.08) and Kiearra Wilmes (17:43.27) finished 1-2.
