Cross-Country: Redwood Valley boys, MCC/Fulda girls win at BOLD/BLHS

Paynesville/BBE boys and girls both place fourth

OLIVIA — The Redwood Valley boys and Murray County Central girls took home team titles late Thursday at the BOLD/Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Invitational at the Olivia Golf Course.

Redwood Valley scored 22 points. Paynesville/Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa finished fourth with 70 points and MACCRAY/Renville County West was fifth with 130.

Redwood Valley’s William Ahrens was the individual champ, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 16 minutes, 27.81 seconds.

In the girls’ race, Murray County Central/Fulda scored 32 points. Redwood Valley was second with 49. Paynesville/BBE was fourth with 83.

The girls’ winner was Elizabeth Johnson of MACCRAY/Renville County West. She had a time of 24:00.05.
